Nautilus shell

The Nautilus shell is an archaic animal, one of the oldest creatures known to survive in the earth`s oceans.
Both prehistoric and alive today, it has remained largely unchanged for almost 500 million years and is also called “the living fossil”.

It is believed that the Nautilus can live up to 20 years in the deepest parts of the ocean.
Its immense beauty is paired with strength and resilience, as a nautilus shell can withstand the ocean’s extremely high pressures. Marine biologists note that this particular shell can dive beyond 2,500 feet under the surface without imploding.

As the Nautilus grows and expands, it creates perfect compartments within its protective shell, allowing us to admire a naturally created Golden Ratio Spiral, a sacred Geometry.
The Nautilus is threatened by extinction due to over harvesting for trade.
